How to Earn Respect

Respect is the ranking currency of Train to Fight. You earn it by defeating other players in PvP and lose it when you fall in combat. Respect unlocks higher fighting styles and signals your standing on the server. This guide explains how to earn Respect efficiently and stop bleeding rank to over-leveled rivals.

How Respect works

Respect appears on your HUD alongside total Power (combined stat strength). Winning a PvP fight transfers Respect from the loser to the winner in most encounters. Losing repeatedly can drop you below style requirements, locking cosmetics or moves until you climb back.

Respect is not the same as Robux or shop currency. You cannot buy Respect directly from the Roblox catalog — only earn it through combat (unless an event offers bonus Respect, which we note in latest updates).

Toggle PvP in safe zones

Before hunting targets, understand safe zones. Inside them you can toggle PvP on or off. New players should:

  1. Train until your four stats match opponents you see walking nearby.
  2. Toggle PvP on only when you intend to fight.
  3. Toggle off immediately after a session to avoid surprise attacks while browsing menus.

Outside safe zones, PvP stays active. Do not open the Styles shop or code redemption menu in contested areas without checking surroundings.

Pick fair fights

Train to Fight combat is largely a numbers check modified by dodge timing. Compare your total Power to an opponent before engaging. If they have dramatically larger muscles or a high-tier style animation, skip the fight and return after training faster.

Fair fights teach dodge cooldown rhythm without costing much Respect. Unfair fights create defeat loops that push you away from style unlock thresholds.

Dodge and combat basics

Every player has a dodge with a short cooldown. Use it to avoid burst damage, then counter when the opponent whiffs. Read PvP combat tips for platform-specific input and mind games. Even perfect dodges cannot overcome massive stat gaps — respect the power check.

Recovering after a losing streak

If Respect drops sharply:

  • Retreat to safe zones and toggle PvP off.
  • Stop chasing revenge fights against the same stronger player.
  • Run a balanced training session to raise your lowest stat.
  • Consume PvP-oriented food from food tier list before re-entering.
  • Fight slightly weaker opponents to stabilize Respect gains.

Respect and style unlocks

Styles list Respect and Power requirements in the Styles menu. You might have enough Power but lack Respect rank — keep winning fights until both bars qualify. How to unlock styles breaks down purchase versus threshold unlocks.

Protecting Respect late game

High-Respect players become targets. Travel with awareness, avoid AFK in open PvP, and use safe zones for menu tasks. Some players equip mid-tier styles in public and swap to premium styles only for duels they initiate.

Respect vs codes and passes

Codes grant food, not Respect. Game passes may multiply Respect gains — evaluate ROI after you win consistently without boosts.

Daily Respect routine

A repeatable loop helps mains climb steadily: redeem codes, eat fight food, train lowest stat for twenty minutes, enable PvP in safe zone, win two fair fights, disable PvP, repeat. This rhythm minimizes tilt losses while keeping Respect income positive.

Social dynamics

Trash-talk and revenge invites spike after you equip flashy styles. Mute chat if needed and stick to matchups you chose deliberately. Emotional rematches against stronger players are the fastest Respect leak in Train to Fight.

Tracking progress

Screenshot your Respect and Power after each session. Photo roll history shows whether training or PvP caused rank changes when you review weekly.
